Juan’s Version
Never did I think that the girl waiting for me at Starbucks for an interview (where I was like 20 minutes late) would be the one I get to spend my life with. Of course, she’ll say I made the first move, but she was as subtle as a cannon. There was something about her that made me ask myself if women like her really still exist.
After I left that job, we became great friends, and the girl who became my angel—the only person on earth who stuck by me during the most difficult period of my life and career—is now the woman making me count every second in my mental countdown—28,796,747 seconds—until I get to call her my wife.
And by the way, she definitely made the first move. But really, who could blame her...

We met at work—he hired me (so technically, he started it). After he left, we stayed close friends, and that’s when everything really began. He swears I made the first move, but let’s be real: it was the way he looked at me with those “I’m into you” eyes.
Before I told him I loved him, I already knew he was the one. I knew I’d marry him. And he made it easy—courting me with more chocolate and flowers than a Valentine’s Day aisle.
And now? We’re building the life I’ve always dreamed of. The rest? Let’s just say… it was the hiring decision of a lifetime.
